Warm Bodies: My new favorite zombie movie

We have to talk about this movie. Like right now. It was AMAZEBALLS. Better than Zombieland, following close behind Shaun of the Dead (Actually I may have liked it better, SHHH DON’T HATE). I didn’t read the novel, so my judgement is not based from that. It did however, have an awesome movie cast! Here is why:

In case you didn’t know, Mr. Hoult here also played “The Beast” in X-Men:First Class - he’s like nerd girl eye candy. I mean, at least in my eyes. And if you don’t believe me, then maybe you’ll believe his somewhat famous (ex) girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence. She has to have some taste right? Not only is he super cute, he played a, believable, teenage zombie corpse – running, grunting, deer in a headlights type of look. I think he get’s a Zombie A +.

Girl crush? Where did she come from? Is it just me or does she slightly resemble a blonde Kirsten Stewart? The only difference – she can, ya know, act. KStew fans, accept my apology.

I don’t think I have to explain this one.

Confession: I am a loyal ANTM watcher…and if you are too, maybe you recognize Analeigh from cycle 11. Quirky, awkward, big doe eyes, a little feisty. She also played the creepy old man hunter in Crazy, Stupid, Love. Love her.

Others include: James Franco’s little brother, Dave Franco, & Rob Corddry – who I recognize as the bar owner from the TV series Ben & Kate.

Anyways, besides the cast – the movie was well made and well written. I was giggling like a kid every couple of minutes.

Some of my favorite quotes:

“I don’t want to be this way. I am lonely, I am lost. I mean I am literally lost, I have never been in this part of the airport before.”

“This is my best friend. By “best friend” I mean we occasionally grunt and stare awkwardly at each other.”

“How old are you? Because you could be 20-something but you could also be a teenager. You know, you have one of those faces.”

“Bitches, man.”

Has anyone else watched the movie? or read the book? What are your thoughts?

Around the apartment

Chris was out of town today, so I had the whooolleeeeee day to myself. I had it all planned out: I was going to clean the house, catch up on “Nashville,” go out to eat, pick up a coffee, browse the book store, and then go see “Silver Linings Playbook” with my friend Brittany. HOWEVER…teeny tiny little problemo. My car keys were tucked safely in the glove compartment of my LOCKED vehicle. The extra set was with Chris. The valet key was nowhere to be found. Britt didn’t have a car either, so we were both screwed. Needless to say, I had a very productive day at home cleaning. whoop de doo. Here a few bits and pieces form around my apartment:

so what did you do this saturday? I’m bored out of my mind so entertain me! – xo Sunshine

Happy Day after New Year from the Non-Humans!

What can I say? My pups are like my little children. I didn’t want to leave them cooped up in their doggy prisons for NYE, so Chris and I stayed home, watched movies, drank New Castle Werewolf’s, and planned. I’m such an awesome partier that I slept through half of the zombie movie we watched called “The Dead” (it was like watching an old lady cross the street.)

All and all, it was a peaceful happy New Year celebrated with the people and non-people that I love. Hope everyone else had a good time!
